starting price is $8500 and can be worked with

the odometer reads 63000 ...but that could very well mean 163000
it has a mild cam in it
it has a different turbo (it says garrett on it)
he thinks the boost is turned up a little too high on it
the first time he started it for me, it died after about 10 seconds..but started right back up..

asking price is $8500..he admitted he dont know ANYTHING about it..he just sells used cars..
and for me to just make an offer and we'll go from there...

show him a little cash, and i can get a test drive..
if im really interested

car is in AWESOME shape as for as everything LOOKS..but what small stuff should i look/listen for?

most importantly, here are the pics

Hey. The way that that car looks, it could very well have only 63k on it. Looks clean. look for rust in the T-tops, around the doors, and floorpans. Im no expert on turbos, but that one looks like a stock replacement or a TA- something. Im pretty sure that its only a stock turbo though because the inlet pipe bolts onto the turbo. Most after market turbos are joined by hoses. As for the rest of the engine, it all looks stock. If you choose to buy it, be prepared to find lovely little suprises that you may or may not like. I bought my car from a dealer who also didn't know anything about these cars. It is often frustrating when you need to know whats been done to your engine.
