I am putting a new flexplate in my car and there seems to be alot of clearnence with the Converter bottomed out in the pump. I know there is a range, but I have forgot what it is. I got .020 to .060 shims that I can use to shim the converter away from the flywheel.

TIA

Ideally, you want to see 1/8" to 3/16" clearance. You can take up some space with shims but be sure you do not cause the pilot to disengage the crankshaft! Also, any shims you use must be absolutely flat and the same thickness so as to not cock the converter.
