Oh boy...Where do I start?...My GN has been sitting since Jan. 2004 at my parents in laws backyard. I finally have made it priority to restore the car to its former glory. In (http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/timing-chain-skip-and-damage.110229/#post-759017) 2004 I had timing chain issues, the end result being I could not afford to fix the car nor did I have the know how. My family came in my way of my beloved GN.

Since 2004 the car has been without its front cover and all its fluids. The brakes are probably seized up, and I am probably looking at pulling the engine and having it rebuilt, then working on the body. I checked the body of the car and it seems solid except for all rubber weather stipping. Here are some pics:

I have been out of the Buick scene for awhile. I live in Queens/LI border here in NY. Can anyone recommend any competent Buick specialists? I am looking to do the job once and the right way. Please help me!!!

x2 pic format don't work, where are you located? im close to that location.. pm me..

The pics show fine on my laptop using Firefox as the browser. It did not work on my lg3 cellphone though. I created the album on this site. Okay got it, I changed the privacy setting to public and now am able to see it on my phone also. You guys should be able to see pics now. I will PM you as soon as I figure how to.

Sent you a pm...you can reply to that instead of figuring it out.

Glad to hear you are getting it going. I hate to see one die and rot away. Just curious, why chrome headlight bezels?

It was black bezels till one of them cracked, and I found a quick replacements in the junk yard. They will be going once black again. The turn signals under the headlights I did change from the factory stock yellow to a frosted white from and '82 regal and I will be keeping it that way cause I like the look. I have to look for some pics from when the car had seen its better days and post.

You definitely have a lot of work in front of you but it is so good to see a resto and not a part out or it hitting the scrap yard. 1 word of advise from a guy doing a full frame off right now: create a blog on your car. I have one going for family and friends and am having as much fun doing that as I am with the car. Plus it will fully document your resto on the car. Once my car is done I'll create a post showing beginning to end.
Plus it's a great time to learn your car inside and out. Do as much work as you can even if you haven't done anything like it in the past. You can learn.
