Motor is sexy! Very nice work. Going to be a fun build!

thanks . i cant take credit for it , i just handed over the parts to the engine builder . he's the one who did the real work . :) its a one man operation..he does only and only one engine at a time . very anal..does top notch work .:) so depending on how complexe the engines are before you ..you maybe waiting a long time to get yours done . does alot of high end offshore marine stuff .

orig had the pad drilled for injectors , but I didnt like the way it looked or came out . so..I sent it down to the states to get the welded bungs put in . it was a while back ,from what I remember it was the guy from 6061.com that did the conversion .

Really nice engine and nice car, too. Only thing I hope you don't end up regretting is going with those Eagle h-beams. They are hit or miss regarding being able to take power being thrown at them. I broke one a few years ago at about 750rwhp in a turbocharged Mustang, and the tune was spot on when it broke. And I'm not the only one this has happened to, BTW. With such a nice piece there, you should have put a good set of Oliver billets in that thing. Its still not too late since the motor is out of the car still... That engine with two turbos will make 750hp without even trying so you might want to consider it.

sorry to hear about your luck with them .my builder had no concerns using them for my goals . he has used them in many high hp builds witthout any issues . i've read on other boards guys are having crazy luck pushing those rods past 1000+hp . i guess you never know with anything that could happen . :)

Best of luck... Even Eagle would tell you not to attempt to push those rods to 1000hp. Yes, I know its been done by people, but that was years ago when the forgings weren't such crap like they are today. Oh well, if it breaks, he will just pocket more of your money when you need him to rebuild it:)

as far as i know ..i think eagle rates the h beams with the L19 bolt up grade at 1200hp . but like you mention anything can happen . where did your rod let go..on the cap ? was it a high rpm engine ? Crazy high rpm's are usually the death sentence for rods . :)

Im sure it will be fine. I run a 1 in spacer under my elbow and it was tight but fit. Body bushings will determine how much space you will have.
