I bought an 87 TR engine a couple weeks ago. I did some disassembly to check it out. The owner said he blew a headgasket previously. I pulled these headgaskets off and was unfamiliar with the number. The gaskets were kind of stiff, looked like new, and seemed like a quality head gasket. Similar to the fire ring around the cylinders, they also have a metal boundry around the end water passages. I was wondering if anybody knew anything about the application of these headgaskets or had used them.

Hey thanks guys. I bought the engine and trans from a non-TR guy, but an old street rod guy. He had the combination in, of all things, an Opel station wagon, all customized in a hideous fashion. He told me the combination couldn't have more than 25K on it. Of course he had no scanmaster or anything, but told me he had it up to 160 MPH. After pulling the heads I pulled the lifters and there was "0" wear on the bottoms, so I guess he was telling the truth.
