A little update. After living with the mock up coil mounts for a while I decided to machine a permanent mounting bracket. As with most of my projects, one thing led to another and I ended up redesigning the entire thing.

I never liked the fact that the top of the coil terminals almost touched the hood liner. By facing the coils forward I was able to lower the overall assembly plus the wiring access is much easier.

These are just crappy cell phone pics but I just wanted to redeem myself for the mockup mount in the first pics.

Two thumbs up! Very nice! Expect for that to become the most popular way to do the LS coils because its the best I've seen thus far.
