I would like to add an accelerometer to my xfi. Does anyone know if i can read the output from it directly on my lap top. Or do i need the dash logger to do this.
the accelerometer uses the can bus and you can log the X,Y, Z axis channels on laptop
just go to dashboard setup add them to your dash for logging or create a new dash
then open logging (dont need to start record ) and you can see the readings
You can add them to any dash, not just viewing it through logging. I recommend also putting them on the master dash and using that to get the sensor level (reading zero in all directions) when doing the install
