I thought i would post about a race i got into tonite with my daily driver Talon Tsi.( talon has a 16g turbo small spearco FMIC and a megasquirt ECM, 2-1/4 dwnpipe/exhaust , dynoed @ 270whp 276wtq @ 16 psi pump gas)
The Vette i don't have any info on except it's a maybe a 00/01 convertable. i know it was not a z06
I was behind him going to the highway on ramp and when we proceeded to the on ramp he pedaled it and i decided to do the same all i did was spin the crap out of the front tire till about 35 ish and it hooked and it was on. so after the talon hooks up he can't pull me any more so we merge on the highway doing about 90-95 ish. I continue on and then he decided to play again. So i down shift to 3rd gear and pedal it and i ran the talon up in 3rd and shifted to 4th and i stayed out front till we ran into some traffic. When i looked down i was showing 130 mph. Well that was not enough for the vette lol
So then he slowed back down and i down shifted to 3rd and waiting for him to kick it and then i kicked it. Well he jumped out on the kick and my front end was at his back end and i pulled past him and then i hit the rev limiter 7500 in third and the car nosed over and i shifted to 4th when that happened my front end was at his side door and i couldn't make it back up and we hit some more traffic and shut it down.
So i'm feeling pretty damn good about my 160k eagle talon that i might have 2500 bucks in VS a 45k vette.
