Factory cloth seats with embroidered leather head rests
Rarer than a Monte SS Aerocoupe
Not an El Camino SS

Says the year is what makes it rare, and the headrests are all that visually sets it apart from the following year
Not a Grand Prix, not a Hurst/442

It's an '83 Monte Carlo SS.

Yep, that was it. For some reason I was thinking '84 was the first year of the SS, and I've never seen one with embroidered headrests.
