i am looking to get a new downpipe.all i am trying to do is wake the old girl up some.i am going to keep it fairly original just downpipe-exhaust-chip.the car is in excellent condition so that's why i am keeping it as original as i can.as far as the downpipe looking @ gn1's pipes and i am a little confused.do i get the one with the flat flange and will this one work with stock wastegate? i will just get a new adjustable wastegate actuator.or do i get an external 38mm wastegate downpipe.what would the difference be.i am NOT going to race it so would the external one be worth it? also just running stock turbo.

thanks

I don't think GN1 performance offers a downpipe with internal wastegate, so if you get one from them it will have to be external. Other vendors have the internal wastegate downpipe. Check the turbobuick.com front page for a list of vendors. With the mods you are planning, I wouldn't waste my money on a new downpipe. Also, you will have to cut your turboshield for it to work.
