door weatherstrip seal

ok just replaced my outer door sill rubber from kirbans, fit and finish was great, now the door weatherstriping from soft seal is junk, where it screws into the door there is a little metal washer imbedded into the rubber but its paper thin, washer tore right off and no way the soft seals will work, that area needs to be much thicker so it wont tear, total junk!!! in the middle of putting my car back together and now im stuck, any other brands of door seals thicker and more durable in that area? that washer and paperthin rubber wont cut it, any help will be great. thanks

The only door seal that fits correctly is gm. I've tried the aftermarket seals and had the same issues. The gm seal has a plastic reinforcement molded in the ends.

I was lucky enough to find nos but they weren't cheap.
