If you are looking for the off white plug in thingies that look like small curly fries, sometimes the local hardware store will have them in a slide out drawer labeled automotive fasteners.

Found them and the hood pad holders, slightly smaller in diameter than GM, in an Ace hardware store, Sears hardware stores may have them as well.
