Do I need to re-set the comp after MAF change

I am going to replace the MAF and am wondering if I need to take the neg battery cable off to re-set the computer?
I know on my newer trucks I re-set those by removing the neg batter cable for 10-20 mins
Just curious on the TTA

I don't think so but it certainly would not hurt. I would just unplug the orange wire harness and then replug it back in. That is easier than unhooking the neg bat terminal and the ecm will reset. Just be sure to give the ecm 10-15 min of easy city driving to learn again.
