Delrin Bushings & Down Pipe Heat?

How well do the Delrin upper A-arm bushings hold up to down pipe heat?

Seem to recall hearing about them possibly melting.

Yup, although Delrin will withstand a much higher temperature , they will still melt , I only use these for my lower control arms (which aren’t exposed to the high heat from the down pipe).
I’d recommend (and am using ) UMI’s upper control arm use Rod End (metal ball instead ).

Those UMI uppers are very nice. I'm planning on retaining the OEM control arms if I can.

Are the Energy Suspension black urethane bushings able to withstand the heat?

I have the Kirban bushing heat shield installed.

The UMI rod ends have Teflon which melts at 620* so it's better for the downpipe side. Global West makes one a set with brass bearings.

For those Rod end bushings use Super Lube it’s a PTFE (Teflon based) product available in spray, tube or tub form.
I personally use the spray for my rod ends, however use the tube installed in a gun for my zerk (grease fittings ) for the rest of the front & rear suspension
