dbl pump

Hey all,

I just got a dbl pump fuel set up complete w/ all wires and relays. My question is, do I have to use these wires and relays or can I just drop my tank and plug the dbl pump into my existing wires? I currently have a hot-wired Holley 255 lpm in the tank.

Use the wires the way they intended.

If you just plug it in to the existing harness you will have 2 pumps running all of the time or worse yet, the second pump wont kick in because you did not wire the hobbs switch in. That will lead to popped head gaskets and or burnt pistons quickly.

Also add a lite that goes on when 2nd pump kicks in. Mine is at 15 lbs & when the lite goes on I know its working.

Thanks for the help. The light idea is a nice touch. One of my concerns when going to this s/u was knowing if the second pump was indeed on, other than skewed a/f ratios.
