Cylinder head flow correction factor table

Wow your timing on this could not have been better norbs, I have been trying to smarten up a bit lately and was wondering if there was a chart out there for H.P./cfm/cylinder size, thanks for putting this up.

No Problem, I was correcting the flow data on the cast Iron stage II heads flowed 40" H2o on the power source book........looks like 300 cfm on the intake ,so that should be perfect for my goals...

Also remember to keep your orifice size consistent with what the head will actually see....don't flow on a 4.030 bore if you are putting it on a 4.00 bore....skews the numbers dramatically and kills comparison value.

The equation for converting flow numbers at different pressure drops is:

sqrt(new/old)

e.g. from 40" to 28" water, we have sqrt(28/40) = sqrt(0.7) = 0.8367

so 300 cfm @ 40" water is 0.8367 * 300 = 251 cfm @ 28"
