Cut stock spring the same as Moog 5658??

Would a cut stock spring be basically the same as a replacement Moog 5658?
The stock springs wire diameter is listed as .690" with a free lenght of 14.897" while the 5658 is listed as .690" with a free lenght of 13.176". If I cut the stock spring an inch to an inch/half wouldn't I end up with basically the same thing? I'm planning on using the 5413 in the rear. Thanks for your imput!

I would say you'll be lower with the cut stock springs even though the diameter is the same. Your stock springs are worn. Most of the time when guys install the 5658's in the front of their cars, they think it's going to lower it an inch. To their suprise, it stays the same sometimes. These lower the front end basically an inch based off of new stock replacement springs. I would just buy a set of 5658's and be done with it. They are pretty darn cheap and not fun to change out all the time. I wouldnt want to do the job more than once!
