Anyone know if a CT valve body is any good???

The valve body in my '85 BQ tranny has the code CT6 on it. It also has both switches in it.

I've installed a PTS shift kit, .570 boost valve, and billet servo. Will this suffice????

I've also noticed the governor has 2 springs and 2 heavy weights. Would this be correct for a BQ tranny or not???? Should I change it to a GN governor or leave it?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

that v body is a late 8 cyl chevrolet w/3.08 final drive ratio.if you install a gn governor itll only get worst such as too easy passing gear, late shifts, etc.you must use the cz,cq ,br ,or bq v body and light governor to obtain factory calibration.

Yep same as above...

Yep...... ok thats 2 out of 3!!! LOL

So if I just leave it as it is what can I expect in terms of part throttle shifts and WOT shifts points (rpm). I'm running a 3:42 ratio and the PTS parts as mentioned above.

Worse case scenario do any of you guys have a bq valve body for sale in case it drives me crazy???
