Couple of front coil spring questions.

I'm rebuilding the front suspension on my 87 T. New upper and lower ball joints, upper and lower control arm bushings, centerlink, idler arm, inner and outer tie rods, shocks and sway bar end links. I'm reusing the springs that are on the car. I think they are the originals. They are not sagging as the front of the car sits up about an inch higher then the rear. The codes on the tags on the springs are: DYX for the driver side and DYW for the passenger side. (Does anybody know if they are original?) I want to cut maybe a half to one coil off to lower the front. (Would cutting the amount above lower the front of car an inch or a little more?) My tires are 235/60-15 rear and 215/65-15 front.

Thanks, Eric

You're better off buying new ones Eric. Do a search for MOOG or moog and you should find a thread showing several options on which springs to use. We also have a sticky with brake and suspension info that should help.;)
