ok,most of the details of my build are in my sig.this is all going together now,but it seems like from what ive read that i definatly dont have the t/q i will need.i was just gonna use it for now,but i think i should change this. convertor came with the trans i bought.i really dont know much about it cause the previous owner didnt either.but i think its a vigilanty 2800 or 3200 stall.the trans is a lock up trans.i am trying to build a sick street car that will see some track time.i definatly am not changing turbos as i own this one already and am looking to get this car somewhere in the 9 sec range somewhere eventually this summer.what are suggestions as to the t/q stall and size i need?or can i have the one i already have restalled?thankyou very much in advance.

oh yeah...im posting pics of the convertor for possible identification help.it measures 10 inches across and it looks like the stamping says 42861c

It's a 9.5" Vigilante. Stall speed us unknown. I'm not familiar with their part #'s anymore so I can't say for sure if the 4 designates the pump # or not. You can run it to see how far it will take you but I wouldn't count on it running near the 9's. If it was tight enough to put the power to the tires to run 9's it's going to spool real slow. For a 9 second car I'd swap to a non lock. All of the lock-up converters will be sloppy trying to go that fast unless it's something you can lock at WOT. Swapping to a non lock like my 9.5 will get you better spooling and faster 60's without giving up top end slip. I have several 9 second customers using the 200-r.
