My 04 LeSabre is running very high on juice! Too high. The driver info center reads battery voltage as usually between 14.6 and 15.1 volts! And I have my dash bulbs burning out.
The battery is new, replaced at the dealer before I bought it. Normally I would consider it constantly charging to be a battery problem. But I've had no issues starting it, even after running a bunch of stuff and draining it with the engine off. Still cranks over with no hesitation.
Is there a regulator in the alternator that is going kaput? Or does the PCM control charging voltage, like in some other cars?
Any ideas? Running this car at 15 volts for as long as it does can't be good for it, or normal...
