I am about to install a cloyes timing chain set(not a double roller) it is an ordinary timing chain set part number C-3018,if I run a regular damper will the chain chew it up, like i keep hearing, and are the factory timings sets different, and how?
If the Cloyes set you have is a stock replacement tc set, yes, use the tensioner. The tensioner problem happens when those opting for a double roller use the tensioner.
