Ok I got these wheels off of my fathers 91 GTA wich to say the least wasn't taken care of. I want to clean them up but it is turning out to be a bigger job than I thought. I am using a methl based paint thinner to take off the rust on the chrome but the inside of the rim has caked on dirt and grime that just doesn't want to come off very easily and I don't want to hurt the chrome with a wire brush or something. Is there something that won't give me a headache that will make this job a little easier? Is there something I can soak the rims in that will make this crap just come off and won't hurt the chrome.
