I had blue tops and a 108 red's chip...was running 12:40's@110 with 22lbs boost...changed to 009's and red's 107 chip At 24lbs boost....with all else in my sig....slowed down to 12:60 at 108...Red's said this would be an 11 sec combo....what's wrong...I used 112 octaine,no knock retard...seemed to have less power in 3rd....1.79 60's.....can anyone explain it?

What were the O2 readings - too rich or lean? How does the 1/8th mph and et compare? Was the 60' similar? Were the track conditions - i.e. temp, barometer and humidity the same or close? Did your car always run 12.4 @ 110 or was that a best ever and you usually ran a couple of 1/10ths and mph slower? (I know I do). What is the timing of the new and old chip? Does the new chip pull timing in 3rd gear? Just giving you a few things to think about. I think any time that you change ANYTHING, it takes time to dial your car in.

You will have to turn up the boost! The 107 chip has like 20 deg. timing. The 108 is a high timing chip.

How much boost? 26 28? how far will it go on 112 octaine?

Get more octane! Like v.p. c-16. I used to run reds 107 and 106 chips with a combo like yours. Stock long block,ta-60, m.j. 17 row, 009s, ac 3400n\l conv. I ran 11.51\116 with 29# boost with 106 chip. Ran 11.67 with 107 and 27# boost. Be sure and keep o2 volts between 800-820 when running high boost. I was running 60# static f.p. to get those o2 volts.
