Ok guys....I delivered the bad boy to Bruces shop (Aggressive Performance) today. Bruce likes it alot, said its an awesome car, lol. So if you read this Ted A. stop in and take a look at it, awesome workmanship on chassis and rear end. 10 point cage in it, Hotchkiss 4 link suspension, coil overs, rear disc brakes, 9" narrowed Ford rear end with spool built to the hilt! I'm starting to get in the "Buick" mood again! I'll update after start-up. I'd post some pic's if I knew how lol.

Good news. I don't know if I'll make it down to Bruces for a while. He'll probably have it done first. Maybe I'll have to take a look at it when it goes by me at the track!!

bowling green

I dont know about that Ted, lol it will take me awhile to get used to it....heck..when I get it fired up I'll probably try to get a hold of ya to see if you would have time to meet up with me at a test track to help me figure it out, I got no idea on the suspension tuning. I'm definitely going to need help on getting it to launch correctly. I plan on taking it to a track un announced so I dont embarass myself lol. Going from a 11 sec car 3 years ago I might add...to a potentially deep 8 sec car will be umm.....quite a bit different for me  You going to Bowling Green? I just might run down there to spectate, and try to sell some excess stage II stuff..if so what night you be there? Talk to you later.

We are leaving on Wednesday morning for BG. When you get ready to hit the track shoot me a e-mail, I can meet up at the track.

Yeah, thank you on the compliment. It should be a heavy contender at the meets once Bruce gets the bullet put in the chamber lol. The only thing holding me back from going radical with it more so...is the fact that 80% of the time it will be a street car.. I hope. I like having power windows, stereo system and such lol. I am going to see if Bruce can post some pic's of it on his web site..who knows...if it runs like it should and is built to... maybe I'll get a good offer on it. It has I think like 80,000 miles on the body is all and hasn't been driven more than 20 miles in the last 5 years. It took the previous owner along time to build it up like it is. He took his time, and did everything maticulously right. No hacking and no short cuts at all with it, I'm very pleased with the set up at the moment ;) I have another G/N in the garage right now that is awaiting the same transformation:D

Who is building the motor for this beast????

Motor assembly.

Bruce has a specialist that should have the machining portion done, and actual assembly will be by Bruce. I don't have the "deep" pockets for a precision, or an ANS builder, and I have confidence in Bruce to give me a good product. Since he seems to have given me a good deal on it I'm willing to let him give it a whirl, and with his knowledge on the Buick's I'm sure it will be ok. I have a specialty built turbo that cost me $2300 and could become a wide spread selling item once people see what the car acts like, the car should beable to hit 1100-1200 rwhp. It wont be a 7 sec car or anything cause I refuse to gut it completely..but the turbo is built to be in the class of an 88 with twice the speed on spool up. Who knows...I may fall right on my face....but what the heck...never know if you don't try it...right:D Aside from the suspension adjustments, tuning will be where I will need much help. It has an 8 sec program in the f.a.s.t. system from Harry now...I may consider getting ahold of Cal Hartline and trailer the car to him.

Do they have the engine back down at the shop or is it still out at the machinist getting work done. Last I heard the engine shop guy was jerking you around, or something of that nature. I hope you got things back under control, I know how it feels when things don't go as planned, you had a pretty hard blow last fall. Angelucci isn't building it this time around is he?

LOL, O HELL NO Angelucci will never touch another engine in my books, lol. Yeah the machinest was dragging their feet according to Bruce, the thing that upset me was the fact that I gave Bruce a good amount of cash down to ensure I would get a speedy build. Appearently what happened was there were a few high dollar builds at the machine shop that got done..but the customers stiffed them on money, so in turn every engine Bruce had there was put on hold till the previous engines got cleared up. The only thing that kept me from blowing a head gasket myself was the fact that money was tight for me so I didn't lean on Bruce too bad. The real burner in the whole matter is... I had cash up front to pay the machinist and then some...my motor should of been a priority! So I just been practicing patience and have belief that in the end result, I will have a good motor. When I dropped the car off to Bruce, he said the machine shop told him they had another motor ready for him and he presumed it was my motor. I'll give it a week and then I'll call Bruce to see what's up if he indeed did get mine back to start the assembly.

Wow, these guys should have a foot shoved in thier rear for screwing him/you around. Who are these clowns?

I'm not real sure Ted who they are, Bruce likes the work they do. I kind of get the impression Bruce is keeping them kind of secret. Yeah my motor has been there since like late July last year, just think if I didn't give any $$ up front:eek: At the time I dropped it I told him...Bruce..here's some cash...I want this motor done yesterday, but now as time has dragged on, I'm like just get it back and start on assembly and let me know where my cash deposit sit's...you gonna need more...if so how much. Money a bit tight now as to my dad and I are starting our business back up..so I gotta becareful on spending for the next month or so. My goal is by July 4th if I ain't cruising.....I'll be getting to the boiling point. Oh I will be coming to Bowling Green, I plan on leaving Wednesday night at like 3:00 a.m, looks like a 8 hour drive. Forgive my retardness...but it is held at the McCoy speedway right? I have never been to it, so I'm a virgin to this place, and I will be bringing the stage II stuff I have for sale to it. Are there going to be like "vendor's" or like a swap-meet type of thing??? I don't want to have to lug all these Aluminum parts around on my back all day, just curious if people will have tables up that I can set these buggers on, don't worry, I'll give some $$ to who ever lets me set em down lol.

It is at Beech Bend Raceway Park. Go to the GSCA Nats site and get some information and get directions off mapquest. We'll be there when you get there if you are not sleeping when you drive in on Thursday.

There are a lot of guys with vending tables there, just ask one of them, maybe Mike Licht will have some room?? What about Bruce???

P.S. I have to ask if you have Steve Y's MAF, can you bring it with you, I'll get it down there.

Ok, I'll check the web site thanks Ted. Yeah I know I still have the mass air meter of Steve's, dam.. I forgot about that, it's only been what...3 years lol, I'll get it dug off the self and bring it with me, see ya down there!

First off let me thank Bruce for his assistance in regestering.

Maverick you are saying the machine shop with your engine is holding you up. Do you know if they have been provided with the necessary parts to complete your job? They are probably as anxious to get your job moving as you are. Waiting on parts that are supplied by our customer,be private individual or another shop, throws a monkey wrench into our shop schedule. We recently completed two Buicks for A. individule in a timely fashon and the customer was very satisfied.

THANK YOU!!!!

First off I hope you are the shop with my engine, Bruce has never let a peep out as to who is doing the machine work so I have had no idea on how to get a hold of who has it. Here is where I stand, I gave the motor to Bruce in July last frigging year along with a considerable cash deposit, that was enough to pay for machining as well as most parts that will be needed! I am really about to go to his shop and request my motor as well as my cash deposit and take it to either the shop directly, or another shop period. Now all along Bruce has told me the machine shop is dragging their feet due to some previous big dollar builds that did not pay for their product, these were customers of Bruce's. In my opinion....I paid cash up front to get service....I'm definitley NOT getting it. I have also told Bruce MANY times....get me a list of what else will be needed once the engine is back from the machine shop so I can gather the rest of the funds. I never hear from Bruce. Now I will tell you... I heard all the shop is waiting on is a set of pistions to begin the process, why don't you have them? I have no idea. I'm starting to wonder if my cash went into Windy6:confused: It just aint right when I, as a long time customer gets done this way, especially with cash up front.
My engine has the 3.625 BMS steel crank-"knife-edged" 6.5"carillo H-beam rods, 4.1 block with the oil provision in the mains. I generally have patience with people, but how would you feel if you were in my position? All I know is what I'm told. Feel free to pm me with info and a phone number, I need this resolved asap.

Wow, I feel for you, I wouldn't have been that patient. Doesn't matter who paid or didn't pay before you, you were the one with the money, you should be entitled to good service whether they are backed up or not. I would have went and got my stuff and my deposit a long time ago. There's plenty of good people to build these motors, I wouldn't mind the wait if I knew they were honestly making an effort to get it done.

Bruce!!

Well i got home today and had a message from Bruce to call him. Hopefully he has good news, I still have "faith" in Bruce delivering me a good product , I've never had a complaint on all the previous work he has done for me. I hope people don't take offense to the post on here, just that when I keep getting people asking me about the engine and what's going on....it gets me thinking about everything and the need to apply pressure so to speak. Have a good day and keep em on atleast 2 wheels :D

Figured I would bring this back to the top.

You going to be ready for BPG???

Should have some time there to help out with the tune up.

engine

Well, I e-mailed Bruce and his office replied stating that the 6.5" rods i have wont work in the engine, and that as soon as I get them a set of rods...the engine would be completed asap. So I then in return asked that they use what's in my deposit to get the rods it does need, so we'll see what the reply will be tomorrow I assume lol. I stated to Bruce that he had 2 weeks to get the engine done and ready to go in the car...and if more $$ is needed to send me a COMPLETE breakdown of what has been bought versus what is still needed so I can see where the $$ on my deposit has been spent. 2 weeks is it...its CRUNCH time...git er done. I want to atleast beable to make the "Woodward" cruise this year with it :) Cmon Bruce... I know you and the machine shop people read this....grab 2nd gear and mash the petal on it ;)
