Car Flicks from the 80s

Wasn't the DSM in the movie not a gn? How would you have felt if you had a $hitbox car then fast and furious came out and actually was cool and the feature car in it had a killer plate but some guy with a gn had it? Seems fitting to have a DSM car to have the plate from the movie.

The movie car may have been somehow related to a DSM, but I thought it was rediculous that the plate I saw the car was red & not BLACK.
From Wiki: "Wraith is a Scottish dialectal word for "ghost, spirit", just seems that the plate should at least be on a black car regardless of make

I agree but I am going to add a twist to it. They should have used a GN in the movie instead.

Let's see.

Gumball rally.
Gone in 60 seconds.
Smoky and the Bandit.

There was a street racing movie named "Catch Me, if you can" made in '89. Starred some guy named Matt Lattanzi with Loryn Locklin, Emmet Walsh, and Geoffrey Lewis. It featured a '68 Chevelle and a big block '57 Chevy as the star cars and bunch of other cars as the bad guys including a '69 Camaro Pace Car convertible and a few Mopars. Plot is definitely an '80's movie though.

There was also "My Science Project" which had a blown GTO in it which was pretty neat.

There was a movie from the '80's that starred Charlie Sheen called "No Man's Land" that was about a ring of car theives that stole and chopped Porsches. Has a great chase scene that has the bad guys driving a mid-80's Z-28. I think I wore that VCR tape out!

X2 I love that movie.... They were just playing it a few months ago on encore I think...

i dont know if there is a more memorable 80's car than 'back to the futures' delorean!

I was only 8 years old when this came out but I still remember going to the drive in with my older brother and his GF to see this. "The Wraith" has to be one of the coolest car flicks from the 80s. Sherilyn Fenn was smokin!!!

That was a good movie, I swear the original F&F move was just a remake of no mans land. They are almost identical.

On a side note, its interesting that the Wraith car was a 4banger turbo Dodge concept car.

"Death Proof" by Qinton Terrintino had some of the sickest car wrecks.
