Car falling on its face between 3-4k rpm??? Fuel prsr is 30-40 maybe cat?

Hi,im new to the site i love it!!!
I have a 84 gn just purchased it motor has never been touched besides maf and livewires...at about 3-4k rpm the car will fall on its face i checked the fuel pressure it reading between 30-40...im thinking maybe the cat??help would be nice thanks so much.happy holidays
