Can Exhaust really make a difference?

Last night, I installed a new Pypes exhaust that I purchased from a vendor who shall remain nameless (Kirbans). My old exhaust was painful to get out of the way, but, in the long run, got it out, got the new system in and lined up, and mounted in place.

I took it for a ride last night, and WOW!

It was a major difference! I don't know if the previous system was incredibly restrictive, or, what the issue is it was, but, I have a whole different car today!

I'm looking forward to the drive to work (not work however!)

A good flowing exhaust on a TURBO car is a must. So yes it is very possible that your old exhaust was restrictive or had the wrong mufflers on it.

Getting rid of the stock elbow coming off of the turbo will help too. Dont know if you have done that yet or not.

My catback exhaust was leaking badly & new stainless 2.5" ATR didn't make any difference.

The TH stainless downpipe made a hugh difference. The TR seemed to not pull well above 70mph & the TH let the TR pull hard all the way thru:cool: the 1/4.
