Cam Sensor Help!!!

To give some back ground on what is going on.
The car ran fine started fine but the cam sensor was tapping.
So I said hey I'll put a new one in. I got a new GM sensor and marked the old one took it out and put the new on in.
Now the car will start but shut right off after like 5 seconds?
I don't know what to do now I have the caspers cam sensor tool.... so should I plug that up and try to set it or just start from scratch?

If it starts up for 5 seconds, it's not the cam sensor. Did you unhook the orange ecm wire by the battery when you put in the new cam sensor in?

No I removed the ground from the battery.

@ TurboBuRick after your post I got to thinking about the ECM wire you spoke of and then remembered that I have an antitheft system built in to the ECM.
So now the car started and ran fine so I'll look at the car more tomorrow.
