Buyer Beware! Guy is trying to rip someone off.

Nada prices are so far out of whack on these cars it's bordering on insanity.

Does anybody really think " average retail " is 28k  or high retail is over 46k :ROFLMAO: or even remotely close to those numbers.

Those figures look to be spot on for cars on the market right now. That is the open market, not the bottom feeder enthusiast market.

A price for a car is subjective to the seller and buyer. Those that are informed on what they're looking at will shy away. Those that don't look at things before they purchase will end up regretting what they've done and try to blame someone for their ignorance.

Pricing guides for cars are a standard and NADA is one of the best. You can also check hagerty (the insurance guys) and their price will even be higher. The members of this forum try to help each other but pricing on things is somewhat out of wack with the economy right now since it's crap. The other issue is like some of the people I work for. They believe that $10 an hour is more than adequate for pay for just about anything.

You believe he's overpriced the car since he paid less, but it's his car, not yours, and he will have to deal with the tire kickers when they come to call. If someone is looking at this car then it's their responsibility to check it out before buying and if they're members of this forum I'm sure it will come up again. The argument between the OP and the rest that have kept the post alive is moot and really silly, since someone buying it has to remember, let the buyer beware.

Let it die guys.
