Breaking in the Cam?????

well i am putting my car back together and just need someones help!

my car has digital dash and i was told i need to hold the RPMs at 2500-3000!

well what can i put inbetween the throttle body and cable lever thing that will keep my RPMs there... like is a nickel big enough?

i was wondering if someone could space that out and please tell me what to use... i dont want to get it together and just guess on the RPMs...

also... what wire off the coil pack is the RPM one... i have a POS cheap tach in my other car that i could put in the GN if i knew where the tach hook up was!

so please help!

behind the alternator there is a small green connector just
sitting there. thats where you hook your tach to.

I did a cam break-in yesterday and just wedged a small flat blade screwdriver into the throttle body linkage to hold the revs constant. Worked well. Sorry I can't help with your tach question.

excellent thanks... so it is merely just maybe 1/4" open?

just trying to get an idea on how much to open the throttle!
