Brake Warning Light On

I just upgraded to vacuum brakes. Now the brake light on the dash is on. What wires do I jump out to turn it off?

you re probably not getting enough vacuum- try changing the check valve on the booster.

What source are you drawing your vacuum from for the brakes?

Alot of people that do the vacuum brake conversion seem to have better luck getting vacuum direct from the vacuum block on top of the throttle body.

I am about 1/2 way between PCV and block on the 3/8 line

The brake light has nothing to do with vacuum. It is for the hydraulic system,you need to bleed the brakes and maybe the master as well then your light will go off. You should also use the vacuum block for the vacuum supply,the PCV. nor the vacuum booster will work right the way you have it. Bleed all four corners starting with RR,LR,RF,LF after you bleed the master by opening the line connections while someone holds the pressure just like you do the wheels. There is a new vacuum block available with an extra 3/8" port for your brakes if you don't have a source. You could also drill and tap the doghouse for a vacuum nipple. After this you should have no trouble.

i believe my check valve was bad when the brake light came on and went out after just changing the check valve.
