brake pressure switch??

brakes work good but noticed that the switch is leaking fluid where it is pressed together and not from the threads is this a common problem? yes its the updated grey version. so I should replace asap.
 
That was the problem with the original design switches. Yes, replace it asap. If it turns loose no brakes and no paint left around the master cylinder.:(
 
yeah its wet where it goes together but must of sprayed out very little but enough that I noticed some smoke off the manifold
 
replace it asap. My brakes just failed on me today... thank god I was pulling into my bank and could call a GN expert out here in Socal to guide me through the process in identifying and fixing it temporarily. You can get the part (GM 18038508) from GMPartsDirect.com for around $100... which is about $120 cheaper than what the local GM dealer charges.
