Brake help/recommendation - proportioning

Recently upgraded the brakes. Baer on the front. New drums, wheel cylinders (S-10), shoes (big soft) on the rear. After some break-in period, it's obvious to me that the rears lock up first. My options are (the way I understand it):
1. Put the old wheel cylinders back in
2. Add an adjustable proportioning valve

I'm leaning towards option 2 but would need some help...like where an how to add the adj prop valve?

Recommendations and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Matt

I believe the valve only lowers pressure so most likely it needs to go in the rear brake line.

Not sure about best location, in car for road racing, but once setup it should be fine for regular driving and drag racing, maybe near the proportioning valve area covered in an aluminum cover or box for protection.

I would have thought that setup you have would work great for braking and be balanced right off, since the Baers stop so well on the front, glad I bought the rear kit instead of trying it. :)

Good luck.
