boost controllers?

I see that some people have and recommend boost controllers at what point do they become necessary/recommended? The main reason im asking is im going to be installing an alky kit a and running a higher boost level but ill only be running a TA49. It doesnt seem like i need it but it might help boost come up a little faster? If someone could give some in depth info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

you got it.

not necessarily needed, but the boost will come up considerably faster and bring a bigger smile to your face than without one.

get one, youll be glad you did.
