Hi Folks,

Putting car to stock look for CA Emissions tests.

With oil filler cap-breather in place no smoke.
Witihout breather but with stock filler cap, I bet blue smoke (under boost) coming out the tail pipes...and oil in my engine.
I assume the oil is coming from the dip stick.

While the breather on the cap is a fix, I need the car to function well in stock condition.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thx, Virgil

stockers had a valve cover vented to the turbo inlet. It sucks in the vapor and burns it. Still burning the oil just maybe less noticeable I'm sure the cat helps burn some off also.

I do have the stock valve cover inlet into the turbo. Are you saying that with my set up, I cannot use my stock oil filler cap?

I am thinking with any set up, I should be able to use my stock oil filler cap and not generate blue smoke...therefore something else (abnormal) is causing the blue smoke.

Thx,

Sounds like your engine has too much leakdown if you're overwhelming the factory vents.k Odds are you're oiling the hell out of the inside of the intercooler and intake manifold.

Try a can of Restore and see if it gets any better after 500 miles.

...or do it right and run a leakdown test.
