Blown turbo ?

Took my car for a WOT blast down the highway. Lifted after 1/4 mile. I think I blew the oil seals in the TA49 turbo. Lots of blue/white smoke with moderate throttle. Oil pressure low. Oil and coolant look OK. No overheating. Check engine light on. Can anyone confirm this as turbo failure and not head gasket problem?

No one can "confirm" this issue without the car unless you have a magic cell phone or some other device?

You, or someone, will have to remove the downpipe to see if it is full of oil, or do a compression test to check for a blown head gasket.

At least that is your starting point.

Pull off the intake feel for shaft play to start

If you had a turbo failure like mine--I had no boost and found that a foreign object had jammed and broke the impeller. A quick call to Brian Bisonette aka : (Bison) can fix you right the first time. He was a huge help as to what works and what will not on our cars. I highly recommend you contact bison for help. Just my experience. Dp
