Guys,
I'm installing a biggie oil filter adaptor on a car that does not have an oil cooler. It's sold by RJC. Question is, on the threading that is there, it looks like it would have unscrew out of the front cover? This would allow the new bigger threading to go in its place? there is not a nut on it or anything, so, it looks like one would have to use vice grips or similar to remove this original oil filter threading. Before I do that and hurt the threads, I just want to make sure first.

TIA

I'm guessing you don't have the correct adapter. There is one made for the use of a oil cooler and one with out. The one with out threads over the top of the current threads. Take a look here and make sure you have the correct one

Ok. I see now. Glad I asked. I do have the right adaptor. This is the first time I'm understanding that it "threads over the top". That's not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. So simple, I had to make it hard. Thanks.
