This is the PN I have...

GM PN 5234485-12

Do these still have the hardened surface like the original lifters? Or have they changed? Can anyone suggest a better hyd lifter? ESP? TA performance?

I cant' seem to find it anywhere online? Has the PN changed? I installed a new set of camp cam lifters with my new cam and I'm having issues with lifters not staying pumped up. I even tore the lifters down and inspected them. They all looks great and seemd to hold pressure. Check balls all clean and worked as they should.

gmpartsdirect.com shows them (leave off the -12). Come in packs of 8 tho.

I was looking at the TA performance lifters and they specifically claim they have harfened faces. Does anyone know if the factory lifters still have hardened faces?

I have a set of GM/Delphi old stock and they have the hardened face. You can tell because it is a separate material attached to the lifter body.
I have a roller cam now and don't need them.
