Bad TPS??

Hey guys,
I noticed my tps numbers were a little low on the scanmaster the other day so I decided to toy around w/ it a bit. Once I had it set correctly at idle the WOT numbers would be too low and vice versa. I heard there is a "correct" way to adjust the tps but I swear I positioned that damn thing every way I could. Possibly a bad tps?

Adjusting the TPS

It takes a little patience but you'll get it.

;)If you can't get enough adjustment out of it, pull it off and use a dremel tool to make the screw slots longer at the back side of the TPS.

To check if it's bad, slowly depress the throttle while watching the TPS read out or volt meter. It should sweep linear. If you get any large jumps in voltage, then the TPS is bad.

Thanks, that is what I assumed. My idle is fine but my wot numbers are only hitting 4.3, I've read that anything above 4 should be fine but I wasn't sure if the TT chip is programmed to read a higher tps voltage for PE mode.
