back up lights

On top of the steering column under the dash there is a park/ neutral/ reverse safety switch.
It rotates around the column side to side.
The easiest way to adjust it is to turn the key on (engine off), set the emergency brake and put the shifter in reverse and rotate the switch (kind of ratchets) until the back up lights come on. Move the shifter slightly forwards and backwards and adjust the switch so the backup lights stay on in the middle of the slop.
And of course make sure the car starts in park and neutral.

It is. Just rotate it a little until the lights are working right. If memory serves, there's 11 clicks that will light up the reverse lights. Start in the middle then make sure the ECM can tell you're in park when you're in park.

On my car I had to move quite a few clicks to satisfy both.

(and I'm not really a big fan of 3somes)
