AutoMeter Tach

Is it the brown wire or orange wire that I need to cut to go from V8 to V6 set up?

Mine had a rubber plug in the back. You take that out, and you will see some tiny switches in there. If you still have the instructions, it will tell you what position the switches need to be in. It might even say on the switches themselves. I can't remember. You can use a small pointed screwdriver or punch to move the switches.

Well, I didn't see any switches. I even opened it up.

I just happened to think, I'm pretty sure that you can go to Autometer's website and download the installation instructions for their tachs.

Got what I needed. I did have to clip the brown wire.
