Can someone with some sound quality experience guide me in tuning my stereo... (i.e. help with slopes, gain adjustment etc etc)

I want crystal clear with some thump

ditto what type of eq and/or amp and crossover controls do you have?

If you really want some clean up sound good, you need a good deck with 16 bands of eq or buy an outboard processor with equalization capability. Amazing what a good eq can cleanup.

I have an RTA, but it recently died and I ended up buying a $20 ipad ap that isn't perfect, but works good enough to even out peaks and valleys.

I have a older kenwood passive eq that works great. Can control all other inputs sep from the subs.
