Ok for all who are confused which I am going to give a quick overview of what took place, with Rich aka BuicksX2.


I have thought about this for hours now. I have searched and read all night long, including missing a Kings game which never happens. I also spent hours on the phone with the parties involved and they are nice guys. Very positive conversation.

I want the WHOLE community to know that my integrity and morality has gotten the best of me. I did something that I am both ashamed of and embarrassed by.


Ok to the meat:

I was dealing with some major health issues at the time. I was on my way home and had just gotten home from the hospital when this was brought to my attention and was not feeling all that well. The more I thought about it and kept running it through my head , I realized there was a piece of the puzzle missing and something was a miss, and I felt that the more I thought about it the more I needed to deal with this myself.. I was fed some “bad” or “misleading” information and until I could justify any of the claims I just put it all on hold until I had time to research and read. I explained this in detail to Rich and Jim myself.. They were nice enough to make me clearly understand that they fully understood and could relate to what I was going through. . I was the one who , not banned ,but put Rich on a no post condition for a day or so while I dealt with my health issues and some other issues and until I could get to the bottom of what is and has taken place. So in essence, I was the guilty party in pulling the trigger. Nick had nothing to do with it. I will take the heat.
I KNOW I am going to take heat for this but in all fairness to Rich and other members, "quite frankly, I don't give a damn". In my search of hours and phone conversations with various people I made a mistake. I could not find one thing Rich has done negative to TB.com other than a post he put up that by accident had a porn site link attached to it. He also PUBLICALLY apologized for this in a thread and to me.

I am not going to let ANYBODY sway me into doing anything my conscience cannot live with. From what I have read ON TURBOBUICK.COM and TURBOBUICK.COM is ALL that concerns me, I cannot see where Rich has done this board or it's regular members any harm, and in fact has in all honesty helped quite a few people. . I am ready to take the heat for my mistake, and do not want anybody else to take the heat for this.

I have rectified this situation to the best of my ability. I spoke with all involved and all is back to normal. Rich is as sound here as he was last week and before. In fact, I am really glad I got to meet and talk directly to him and Jim and get to know them.

This board has nothing to do with the past and problems with GSCA, any of its members and/or the administration or any other entity BEFORE my ownership of this board. All wars, vendettas, and past gripes are not my concern and/or TB.com's concern. And TB.com does not want to be involved in any way. Maybe these guys have had issues on another board, at another time, but in my house they have appeared to put a coaster under their glass on the coffee table, been very polite, assisted other members with helpful info and have played by the rules of our house.
This is where I went wrong. I reacted to info I believed to be 100% true and in fact it was tainted in many ways. If any reprocussions come of this in relationships to other boards or I am “excommunicated” by them, So be it. That is on them. I will not let our house be dictated by an outside entity or let someone hold something over my head I believe is flat out wrong and unfair. I will NEVER let this happen again. . I learned from the school of hard knocks on this one, but at least I learned a very important lesson and learned it early.

My ONLY concern is the here and now and what is best for Turbobuick.com. and it’s members.
For those of you who left, I cannot stop this but I understand your frustration and am doing everything in my power try to make the majority happy using both morality and fairness as my guide. It will take the co-operation of all our members to help
maintain order on the board and stay within our rules
and guidelines. So I am asking that we all help one another to see that we all maintain the quality on OUR board, TB.com, that we are known for.

Sounds cool. Glad you rethought this out because his booting didn't make much sense to me from what was posted on here, if I could read posts about it before they were deleted that is. A guy shoudn't have to go to another board to figure out whats going on in here should he??

Later, there may be a time and place for that but right now and right here, leave it as is. OK? We cool about this? do you understand why I want to take this approach at this time?

Hi All,

I just wanted to let everyone know last night while online I received an IM form Bruce asking to talk to me in the hopes of getting an answer to my "banning"....I will clarify the word "banning" later

I also want to preface this as this is was the very 1st time ever I have spoken to him on the phone as well as in this past week was the 1st time ever I have ever had any conversation with him whatsoever.

Anyway I called him and we spoke for well over 2 hours and in that conversation he apologized a number of times for the "banning", he stated I was never banned but what he did was limit my ability to post for the time being and his reason for it. He stated that if I was truly banned I would not even be able to view the BB, which was not the case I could view it but could not post.

He stated to me that a lot of this had to do with bad timing thru out the week. Bruce has had some personal issues of which are his deal and he told me what they are but I in all fairness to Bruce will not put them on here. However the issue is of a serious concern and I will leave it at that.

He stated while all this was going on he had received three emails from three different IPs and in those emails words were stated that the some folks, mainly the folks from Jersey were going to come over here and start a mess about being tossed off the GSCA BB which had just occurred a day or two before.

Bruces intent was to take a step back until he could gather all the information from all sides to make a proper determination/decision. In the short term he put a "cap" if you will on my ability to post, which again he admitted to me was wrong because it snowballed out of control as witnessed by what went on.

Bruce did a number of things in our phone call last night. He apologized to me for hitting the button if you will, he apologized for the tone of the email he sent me, he told me who he believes is behind or had a hand in the bad info i.e. the three emails. He told me that in looking back over my posts that I hadn't said anything derogatory about Bruce, his company etc.

To that we came to the following agreement.

He turned the switch back on as far as me being back on TB.com, he sensed there some problems with some east coast guys and someone out here and he respectfully asked that we do not carry that "discussion" about that person and that person's affiliation over on his board as it puts him in the middle. Bruce also expressed his feeling about said person and organization to me.

We agreed on that and that the thread titled "My gripe with the GSCA" started by Jim Romanello would be deleted by Jim Romanello and not a moderator and I believe it has and that if we wish to continue that discussion about said person and organization there are other avenues to do it at.

Again this was my 1st ever talk with Bruce and I have to give him the benefit of the doubt as he has never done anything to me prior to this incident. I know there are others out there who have had their problems and I am not dismissing them but I am just trying to keep this within the context of my own situation.

He again whole heartily admitted that he jumped too quick and over reacted and if the situation with his personal issue had not come up in the timeframe it did he would have handled it a different way and not take the route he did.

So again in the context of my situation only and based on my 2 plus hour phone conversation I have to in this case give him the benefit of the doubt and accept his apology which I did as well as make certain promises address above back to him.

I want to say thank you to all the friends who had supported me based upon the information that was out at the time and hope I/we can move forward. Time will tell, now back to Buicks.

A little more consideration for others

I was taught as a child to form my own opinions and if I could not say anything good about a person, not to say anything. If you have a problem, please talk to a person direct and in a civil manner. Funny how good this seems to work.

It is a shame that we cannot all share our hobby and get along a little better. We have a lot of good people who have not been able to control their fingers at the keyboard over the years and we all lose. Sometimes we act like some of the regions around the world that have been fighting among them selves for hundreds of years. They are still fighting and where has it gotten them now?

Sometimes a person needs to use a little more consideration when making fun of people direct or indirect. Nothing good ever comes of it. We need to respect each other and try to find the good in them. All of this will keep down hard feelings that will be sometimes hard to overcome and become deep rooted.
I know people do not want hear about my life lessons anyway, heck it's hard for me too.

Since the matter was resolved and let’s move on and talk Buicks.
Everyone makes mistakes, just some of us do not care to correct them and some do.

I'm glad someone has seen the childish nature of the banning that we have seen in the past. I do think alot of respect for this board has been lost by the unjust attempt to control opinions. My grandma told me to treat others as I would like to be treated.

Not that my opinion is any better than anyone else's, but what you did with this post was a step in the right direction to turning this Board around. I applaud your action. However.......

I would say for this board to succeed in the future, you need to not post on your board again and let the moderators moderate with no input from you.

That may sound radical because this is your board, but right now it is failing to accomplish much of anything positive and in fact is causing some serious problems in this small Buick community.

I believe you have affected your business in a negative manner by your actions on the board with the Buick community. (Was this what you wanted to accomplish by owning this board?)

If you are going to continue to own this board and continue with your often irrational actions and attitudes on this board, it will fail.

You can continue to own the board, but you must let the folks that use it determine its course or they will eventually just go away.

Either it is a Turbo Buick forum that helps those interested in the hobby or it is your private expression of how you want things to be.

It will succeed if you do the right thing and your business will benefit. If you do otherwise, it will fade into cyberspace.

I mean no ill will toward you, I am just stating my opinion.

Let me it clear, my earlier post was for everyone that posts here and on all boards(I hang out onPontiac boards too) and life in general. I was not really talking about banning of people in particle. I hope and appreciate, if you agree with my earlier post.
I do however think the last line in my post applies to Bruce in this matter.

Let’s move on and see what happens. This horse has been rode enough and let’s send it to the pasture.
