Ats readings ?

Have a quick question.

When the car is cold (below 160*) the ATS reads at 130+-
When the car gets over 180 to 190*+ the ATS reads about 80-90.

Does the ATS not work until it reaches a certain temperature?

I just replaced the sensor 2 weeks ago. And its wired into the 87 ECM correctly as well.

That's weird. It should read the air temperature of the air coming in through the air cleaner. If it 70 degrees outside it should read 70 and then go up as the under hood temps go up. This is an example if the car is fired up and just sitting.

Chip makers sometimes use this circuit in the ecm to control differnt thing. In turn the reading will show some crazy numbers. Check with the chip maker.

Perhaps it's because you have your 3.5" Maf sensor listed as a LT1 (only 3.0" actually)--instead of a LS1!?

Really, I'd try another inlet-air temp Sensor,,,as you're getting weirdly abnormal chit!

Oh haha, it is an lLS1 MAF.

A friend of mine just gave me the MAF and trans. So i just assumed it was an LT1.

I will try another one tonight and see if anything changes.
