I am going to replace my 11'' pit bull muffler with another
3'' muffler. I am thinking of going with Hooker Aero Chamber (the one thats on the hooker system for our cars) but a 3'' and center in center out. This muffler little longer then the pitbull so i will have to cut little off the pipe to make it fit. Thats no problem.
Any one done this before?
How painful was it?
Would i have to modify something to make it connect?
I know that there are some guys that have Edelbrock RPM mufflers on their SS, would
love to hear from you.
Thanks for any info.

I put an Ultrflow where the pitbull was, and it was still kind of loud, to then installed the pitbull were the converter was.

Seems to work OK

Ultrflow is also a straight-through core that's probably why it
didn't help much.
How did it fit? Did you have to cut the pipe?

I used an Edelbrock muff. It's better than the PB, but not whisper quiet by any stretch. I like it though. Only problem in my case, car has the Hotchkis control arm brace kit and those longer bolts get in the way... It ran about 139 mph through the exh already though :)

Turbotr, how hard was it to install the muffler?
What exactly had to be done to make it fit?

twin93svt,
Thats exactly what i need 'exact fit'. The reason that i ask all that is i just want to know if any 3'' muffler fit with ATR pipes.
