Anyone running C5 Rear disc brakes?

No worries. While we are on topic, did you spray those calipers/brackets yourself? Or did they come like that from PBR?

FINALLY got the housing in the car this week and calipers bolted on. I have new adjustable UCA's, so I had to set those to center the rear end in the chassis as well as get the pinion angle close. The good news is that the calipers clear the shocks... the banjo bolt rubs the corrugated huge rubber dust boot on my Edelbrock shocks, but with the boot gone, there's plenty of room.

These shock pictures were taken BEFORE the rear end was centered, and they were taken on the "shorter" side to be conservative. Therefore they gained at least 1/8" more clearance with centering the axle by adjusting the UCA's. The axle is positioned at ride height (for my car, which has Eibach drop springs).

This picture was taken at the maximum bump that I can get right now... it's about 1/4" short of the bump stops, my exhaust is interfering with the housing and I need to fix it. There is at least 1/2-3/4" of caliper clearance here. It's not a ton but it's not terrible either.

If you are pushing the housing ends out 1/4" to keep axle flange to axle flange the same as stock, you'll be fine. If you go 1/2", you'll have more room than you know what to do with. The downside is if you go to bigger rotors (13" Z51 or 13.6" Z06) you'll probably be getting closer to the frame rail where it arcs downward in the back. The going out 1/2" will give you plenty of room there, and you may even be able to clock the calipers in front of the axle at that point (though it will be tough with the bleeders).

I'm going to keep messing with it this weekend to see how good I can get it and make sure I'm confident with my measurements. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the photos. I'll send you pics of mine mocked up as well. I already ordered the 12 bolt and have it it my possession. These Moser guys are fast! The clearance is great with the kore3 kit as it puts the caliper at 90 degrees. Plenty of clearance for the shocks as well. I'll post you pics of mine with the bilsteins shortly. It will give a better idea of clearance.
