Anyone have trouble with PCV suckin' oil?

My PCV is sucking oil. I replaced it with an AC DELCO piece and noticed it making weird noises when I rev up the engine! Is there a problem like this with anyone elses? My friend completely removed his from his 86 GN and his oil consumption stopped! I am afraid to remove it because I changed out my passenger side valve cover with one that does NOT have a vent from a front wheel drive buick. It would have to be vented on BOTH sides, CORRECT????? Any insight on this guys?

I actually did do a search but it was showing stuff that doesn't even pertain to my subjects! This sounds kinda rough BUT I don't mean it that way

sometimes the search can be kinda picky about wording, i wouldn't recommend eliminating the pcv valve, the popular thing to to is to put an inline oil catch-can between the pcv & vaccuum source and just drain it periodically
