Alternator- Voltage Reg. Wiring???

The previous owner of my 87 T-Type made custom wiring changes. Now I am chasing wires..... Does anyone know where the wire coming off the voltage regulator needs to be/go? Currently it is pigtailed to a floor light, feeding into the fuse box? Alternator checks good (Advance Auto), any help would be great!

It normally goes to the dash idiot light. But because of how the dash to harness connection is done it gets intermittent. And when it does the alternator stops charging. And the light doesn't turn on either.

Sounds like the car has that problem. And what you found is the previous owners fix for it.

There are some wiring diagrams on both the gnttype site and Caspers site.
