I started working on my 87GN last spring again. Car runs strong but wanted upgrades. You know the drill. One thing I wanted was the AC blowing cold air again(after not working for 15 years). I gave the job to my normal mech. He replaced the Compressor and charged the system. All was fine, but every time the compressor kicks on, the RPM's jump up way more than it needs too.(maybe 200rpms more) Is there anyway I can adjust this? And since its off & on every 5 seconds when I'm sitting at a red light, its gotta get fixed.
Extra info.... My mech told me there will be leaks in the system and we can find them at a later date. Well, he was right. When I turned on the ac this year, nothing but warm air. Any info on the AC system would be great. I think I'm just going to replace the whole AC system.
